Tip: browse recent pattern collections

Posted by on

New pattern collections that people are excited about often surface on the patterns tab under Hot Right Now, which is great. However, if you just want browse through new and popular publications, we don't have a nice section of Ravelry that does that.

Here's a tip for using search to come up with a list of new and interesting collections: click the magnifying glass icon at the top of Ravelry or the top bar in advanced search to get to the "sources" search. ("Source" is our name for books, magazines, ebooks, issues of web magazines, and other publications that contain a set of patterns)

Once you are in the source search, try using the recently published filters and then sort by "most favorites". You'll end up with a list of new collections that you might have missed:

PS - sorting by "Amazon sales rank" can also give you some nice results if you are looking for new books.
