Community Eye Candy: Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, FOs
November 19th, 2013
This time of year, like many crafters, my free time revolves around yarn, fiber, new projects to make, warm sweaters to wear… and FOOTBALL. For today’s post I’m excited to highlight football-related projects, all of which have been finished at some point this season.
I was born in Pittsburgh, and as a lifelong Steelers fan, I naturally had to highlight some projects in glorious black and gold. Above, from left to right, we have specialkknits‘ GAL Eskimo Hat, knitschmidt‘s Mittsburgh Steelers (I do so love a punny name), and SeahagMary‘s Sam’s Monster. Go Steelers!
It’s also fun to make football and team-themed projects for the home! From left to right above are sidhex3‘s football helmet dishcloths, bizzyboppers‘ Packers Football Afghan (amazing!), and Scullybubbles322‘s 49ers Baby Blanket.
And for the littlest fans (start ’em young!): QuietRain‘s The Crimson Shows Through (Roll Tide!), Vivianna‘s Vanilla (Newborn) – a cute little set representing Stanford, and camusser‘s Football Cocoon (Girly Version), another sweet little baby set.
No matter your team affiliation, or even if football means an entirely different sport to you (like our lovely British moderator Velvet who insists I have no idea what real football is) ;) I hope you found a little inspiration for your next game-time craft!
