We are overwhelmed with the amazing field of candidates we received in response to our job listing - nearly 1500 applications in all. To say we were blown away by the response would be an understatement! We have an amazing field of applicants to review this week. With every email we read, we are more and more impressed with the talent and skills of the applicants, and passion that shines through in the letters, videos, blog posts, and slideshow presentations that have been submitted! To everyone who applied: thank you so much!

We want to remind everyone that the nominations for the Bobbys are going to end on March 31! If you haven’t yet, please take a moment to check out the categories and nominate some of your favorite Ravelry posts, patterns, projects, stashes, and more! I don’t often say this….in fact I can’t remember when I have ever said this….but it was my pleasure to apply. I am thrilled that you got so many responses. Good luck with the sifting. This is just one indication of how much Ravelry has reshaped the knitting community.

Just having the ability to apply to such a neat company was thrilling to say the least. I look forward to your decision and best of luck to all applicants. Looks like we all know a good thing when we see it!
Happy knitting…..

It’s wonderful to hear how many applications you’ve recieved. I can imagine it will be difficult to choose just one! Best of luck to everyone.

I seriously thought about applying, but with my often time 40+ hour regular job I didn’t think I could squeeze another 20 hours out of my schedule. And I wouldn’t want to give you guys and ravelry anything less than 100%.
Good luck making a very hard decision.

I’m so happy you have so many qualified applicants. I’m enjoying my retirement too much to take on a job, but was beginning to feel guilty enough to consider volunteering until a new hire could be found. Now I can rid myself of the guilt. I get so much use from Ravelry, that the last thing I would want to happen, is see the website go down! Keep up the great work.

Thank you guys for letting us apply! Good luck reading through all those resumes. I’m sure it will be tough, but I’m sure whoever you choose will be great.

I completely agree with Martha Marques; congratulations on building a community that so many would vie to be a part of! Thank you all so much for the opportunity, and I know whomever you select will be just the right person for your team. Good luck to you, and to each of us hopefuls!

Wow! 1500?! That’s amazing! I’m sure you will be able to find the perfect person to fill the position, I’m just glad I got the chance to apply. I don’t envy your task of sifting through all those applications though :)
Best of luck!

Really? I thought there would be even more than 1500. Seems like everyone is jumping out of their skin to get in on the Rav-action.

Can Bob help you sniff out the right application? It’s not often I have an opportunity to combine my fiber love with my technology interests and i’ll bet there are many others out there like me - happy to apply. I hope you have volunteers to help you sift through everything!
