Welcome, Mary-Heather!

Guess what? We hired our first employee! Welcome, rainydaygoods Mary-Heather!
Ravelry is now a little (just a little ;) bigger than the for-fun project that we started in our living room last year. We’ve been feeling very overwhelmed for the past several months. Even with all of the help that we’ve received from amazing and generous users (editors, soopers, helpers, moderators, everyone!), Ravelry has become too much for the 2 of us.
Mary-Heather is a longtime Ravelry user, volunteer editor, helper and designer. She’ll be working on pretty much everything (just like Jess and I) but we are especially excited that she will be sharing her project management and organizational experience with us. Mary-Heather is full of enthusiasm and energy and we are so happy that she is joining us. :D
PS - the shrug that MH is wearing is one of tragicheroine Kelly’s free patterns - Ribbed Lace Bolero :)

Ok - the shrug - it is Kelly Maher’s Ribbed Lace Bolero and it was the first pattern that I found, queued, and knit from Ravelry! I have made two so far. :)

Congratulations Mary-Heather! It sounds like a dream job - even with the long hours that will be involved - if I weren’t so computer illiterate, I’d send in my own resume! And congratulations to Casey and Jess; hiring your own employee less than a year after having your site go up is fabulous! As hard as you two (and now three) work to make Ravelry a success, I’ll bet this won’t be the last new hire for 2008!
Be sure to let me know if you ever need to hire a Mid-West representative/gopher/sales person/liaision/lover of all things fiber-related/Ravelry worshipper. Seriously. By the time you have need for such a person, I can assure you I will have had my fill working for corporate America. References available upon request :-)

congratulation…I work in a design environment too… with dogs in the workplace…two of them…I take them out to pee a lot…and we play chase…a lot. I keep a lint roller on my desk…and when I’m sad the dogs love me anyway. The boss not so much.
